
Chand Baori is a famous stepwell situated in the village Abhaneri near Jaipur in Indian state of Rajasthan. This step well is located opposite Harshat Mata Temple and is one of the deepest and largest step wells in India. It was built in 9th century and has 3500 narrow steps and 13 stories and is 100 feet deep. It is a fine example of the architectural excellence prevalent in the past.

If anybody’s ever seen the movie “The Fall” this Step Well is featured in it. I thought it was a pretty good movie for its visuals.

Awesome. I was there in Jan. Loved it, had the entire place to myself. The well is in the middle of fields with not much around for miles.

simply superb.it is excellent in that era to maintain the well. unfortunately in this most advanced era we are not keeping well(WELL). the archeology dept.of india has to take care of it
