For many years I knew there had to be a better way – just how though? And when? Well, the answer is now, and here’s how

Perhaps I’ve watched too much Star Trek over the years but sometimes you look at something and just think to yourself that there has to be a better way. For years now I’ve been convinced that electric wires cords would one day be a thing of the past. Just didn’t know how it would actually be accomplished.

I’m sure we are going to be seeing a lot more of this technology down the line. I wonder which of the companies I should invest in now before the stock skyrockets?

I used to like to mow the lawn when I was younger. Now I think of it as some monstrous chore and let the neighborhood high school kid do it insteadBut I can’t get past the guilt sometimes of paying a lot of money for something that is so easy to do. When I saw this robotic lawn mower my eyes lit up. Finally a solution to my quandary. I could “mow” the lawn myself, but with a little help from my robotic friend. Only problem is, it’s still a little pricey at this point. Based on what I currently pay to have the lawn mowed, it would take at least 4 years to recoup the cost of the mower. In any case though, these are cool. One day when the price comes down, you will find me sitting on the porch drinking a lemonade while this technological does all of the dirty work on a hot summer day. Domo arigato Mr. Roboto!

Put the LB1200 Spyder robotic mower down on the lawn, turn it on, and walk away! Using the natural limitations of your yard, the Spyder will cut for up to five hours. When the lawn mowing is done, just switch off the robotic mower and keep it in garage. The Spyder is the world’s first robotic Lawn mower that doesn’t use a perimeter wire to operate. Patented sensors actually ‘sense’ when the mower is over grass, reversing direction when over walkways, curbs, patios and mulched areas. This robotic mower uses renewable electricity for its operation that saves on your gasoline bill and is also environmental friendly. The battery is rechargeable and once recharged it can mow for up to 5 hours.

With the LB2110 LawnBott, you get many of the features as its higher-priced cousins, but with a more economical lead-acid battery. Now with blade modulation, the computer can slow down the blade over low grass, conserving energy and extending runtime. Fully autonomous, the LB2110 will cut your grass several days per week, or more, leaving its docking station as programmed, cutting your lawn for up to 3 hours, and then return to its docking station to recharge its batteries, all on its own. After it recharges itself, the LB2110 can will leave its docking station all by itself and cut again!

With its bump sensors, the LB2110 will stop and reverse direction after encountering an obstacle such as a tree or garden wall. This safety feature also protects the mower against movable items that may have been left in the Lawn, such as a baby bicycle.

LawnBott LB2110 is lightweight just 18 lbs. the LB1200 is easy to carry, thanks in part to its hi-tech Lithium-Ion battery, which offers lots of power and little weight. Let it cut often so there is NO bagging, NO clippings, and NO mess. With its 4-wheel drive, slopes up to 27º are no problem. Designed for smaller yards up to 5,500 sq. ft, you can let it cut virtually anytime, since its electric motors are very quiet.

Robotic mowers Buying Tips

You may probably heard of robot vacuum cleaner or you may have used robotic-mowerrobot vacuum cleaner which clean the floor and room without any manual interference by human being making the entire process 100% automated and make your cleaning job hassle free. Not just Robot out there to help you in cleaning, there are robot to take care of your Garden works.

Robotic lawn mowers come in handy to take care of your garden lawn maintenance work. The robotic lawn mowers cut the grass for you with out any human interference; In fact you can run the robotic lawn mowers and go to shopping, when you returned from shopping you will be surprised to see a clean maintained lawn.

The Robotic lawn mowers are small, handy and take care of your lawn, you just need to sit and enjoy the beauty of the lawn, miracle work done by the robotic mower and surprise to learn simple yet mind blowing technology behind robotic lawn mower.

When you decided to buy a Robotic mower for your lawn, you need to look in to few aspects of robotic lawn mowers before ending up in picking one Robotic lawn mower.

1. How big is your Lawn?
2. Is your yard flat or hilly terrain?
3. How safe are robotic mowers to handle?
4. What type of Fuel does it use?

How big is your Lawn?

Every robotic lawn mower model has different capacity to suit the customer needs. The high end robotic lawn mowers can cut of 3-4 acres without recharge. Has the capacity increase the price also. So you need to buy a robotic lawn mower that suits your needs. You definitely don’t want a robotic mower which cannot mow your 3 acre lawn where as you also don’t want to over spend on a high capacity model for your small lawn. So first thing check how much lawn space to be mow by the robotic mower.

Steep terrain needs a special Robotic mower

Another important aspect to consider is whether you need a robotic mower to mow a flat lawn or hilly terrain. All Robotic lawn mowers can mow flat terrain without any trouble but when it come to hilly terrain you need a special robotic mower that is designed to handle hilly terrain. If your lawn has steep slopes, then you need to verify the robotic mower specifications whether the mower can handle such steep inclinations.

Safety Feature of Robotic mowers

The Safety feature of robotic lawn mowers is very important. The robotic lawn mowers comes with sharp blades, so we need to ensure that it has inbuilt safety features to prevent injuries. Advanced robotic mowers come with sensors; these sensors stop the blades when you lift the robotic mower from lawn.

Power Source – battery or gasoline

Robotic mowers come in gasoline or rechargeable battery models. The gasoline robotic mowers tag price are a little cheaper but you end up having to purchase and transport gasoline so it may be a little costlier and not as environment friendly. Whereas a rechargeable battery-operated robotic mower can mow up to 6 hours and be recharged. These robotic lawn mowers have minimum operating costs and are very environment friendly, they don’t pollute the environment.

So what say we grab that lemonade now and start mowing the lawn!

The Smoking debate wages on – one side advocating the right to smoke, wherever, whenever – the other side arguing the health risks… Not just for the actual smoker but rather the argument revolves around the dangers of second-hand smoke. Well a new product may be the answer for some. In the Digital Age – what else but a digital cigarette?

These new electronic cigarettes contain nicotine so smokers will find that appealing. But the dangerous tar residues aren’t present that make second-hand smoke so risky. Will they catch on? We’ll have to see. In the meantime, check out this video for a nice overview…

Twitter too slow for you? Then you’ll want to learn about Flutter – the way to speed up those antiquated twits. Found this pretty funny post over at Josh Spear.

Flutter: The New Twitter

Whether you fancy yourself an elite member of the Twitterati or you’d rather just give your friends information on a need to know basis, there’s absolutely no denying the ubiquity of the hottest microblogging technology since someone posted a twitpic of sliced bread. However, many people are already getting bogged down by the thought of crafting lengthy 140 character posts. If only there were some way to tell other people what we’re doing faster. Well now there is … but there isn’t … but there is. Slate V’s mockumentary on a new application called Flutter gives the semi-absurdity of the Twitterverse an appropriate sendup. No matter how addicted you are to constantly renewing your status, you’re sure to get a good laugh out of this absolutely delicious.
